How do follow-ups work?

Follow-ups let you flag any item in your inbox with a date so you can come back to it at the right time. Items you’ve marked appear in a dedicated Follow-ups view, sorted by date, so nothing slips.

Right-click any item in your inbox and select Follow up… from the context menu. A date picker opens — choose the date you want to be reminded, then click to confirm.

You can also click the calendar icon in the bottom-right corner of any card to open the date picker directly without right-clicking.

Once a follow-up date is set, a blue indicator chip appears on the card showing the date.

Click the Follow-ups tab (shown with a count, e.g. · 3) at the top of your inbox to switch to the Follow-ups view. It shows only items you’ve marked for follow-up, automatically sorted by date ascending — closest date first.

Dashboard stats are hidden in this view to keep the focus on your follow-up list.

Click the × on the blue date chip to remove the follow-up date from an item. The item returns to your regular inbox view and the chip disappears.

Follow-up dates are set by you manually and are independent of the AI-detected deadline. Setting a follow-up doesn’t change the urgency badge or the deadline the AI extracted from the comment — it’s a separate tracking layer on top of the classification.

Note: If you previously corrected an AI-detected deadline using the date picker, setting a follow-up date on the same item will overwrite that correction in the current version. Use follow-ups for items where you want a personal reminder date, not for correcting an AI deadline error.

You can control how Krina notifies you about follow-ups. Open Settings → Notifications:

  • Remind me when follow-ups need attention — Toggle to receive notifications when you have follow-ups due today or overdue. When enabled, you’ll get a reminder in-app and via native notifications.

Krina can automatically create follow-up suggestions when it detects actionable mentions. Choose your preferred mode in Settings → Follow-Up Automation:

ModeBehavior
OffNo automatic follow-up suggestions. You manually mark items for follow-up only.
SuggestKrina intelligently suggests follow-up dates based on mention context, detected deadlines, issue metadata, and urgency level. You accept or dismiss each suggestion individually.
Auto-createKrina automatically creates follow-ups on actionable mentions without asking. Follow-ups appear in your Follow-ups view immediately.

Choose Suggest if you want AI recommendations but prefer to review them first. Choose Auto-create if you trust the AI to create follow-ups without confirmation.

Personal reminders let you track issues and pages without waiting for a mention. Use them to remind yourself to check on something, follow up on an ongoing situation, or keep tabs on work that matters to you.

In the Krina panel (shown directly in your Jira issues and Confluence pages), click “Track this” at the bottom. A date picker opens — choose when you want to be reminded. The tracked item appears in your Follow-ups tab with a bell icon, distinct from mention follow-ups.

You can also set personal reminders directly from your Krina inbox:

  1. Click any issue or page in your inbox
  2. Click “Track this” in the panel that appears
  3. Set your reminder date
