How do I use the Krina panel in Jira and Confluence?

The Krina panel appears directly in Jira issues and Confluence pages, showing all @mentions and tracked items related to that issue or page. You don’t need to leave the issue or page to see what’s been mentioned or tracked.

The Krina panel displays:

  • @Mentions in this issue/page — Every mention directed at you, classified with three dimensions:

    • Action — What you need to do (Respond, Review, Approve, Fix, Build, Watch, Note)
    • Urgency — How soon (with deadline if detected — e.g. “HIGH · 2 DAYS”)
    • Impact — Who’s affected (Customer, Revenue, Team, Individual)
  • AI-generated hint — A short 3–5 word AI summary of the mention for quick context

  • Follow-up date — If you or Krina set a follow-up date for this mention, it shows here (e.g. “Aug 17 (4d)” or “Tomorrow”)

  • Tracked items — Personal reminders you’ve set to track this issue or page, marked with a bell icon

In Jira: The panel appears on the right side of an issue when you open it. Scroll down to see all mentions and tracked items.

In Confluence: The panel appears below the page content. Scroll to the bottom to see all mentions and tracked items.

Click the date field on any mention card to open the date picker and choose when you want to follow up. You can select:

  • Specific dates (e.g. “Aug 23”)
  • Relative dates (e.g. “Tomorrow”, “In 3 days”, “Next week”)
  • Quick options (e.g. “Today”, “Tomorrow”, “Next Monday”)

The date appears on the mention card. Click the × to remove it.

If you want to remind yourself about an issue or page without waiting for a mention:

  1. Click “Track this” at the bottom of the panel
  2. A date picker opens
  3. Choose your reminder date
  4. The item moves to your Follow-ups view in Krina with a bell icon

Tracked items appear in your Krina Follow-ups tab alongside mention follow-ups, but are visually distinct with a bell icon to show they’re personal reminders.

Click “Open in Krina →” to view this issue or page’s mentions in your main Krina inbox. All your sort, filter, and view settings follow you there.

Advanced: Automatic follow-up suggestions (Advanced Edition only)

Section titled “Advanced: Automatic follow-up suggestions (Advanced Edition only)”

If your team uses the Advanced Edition with Follow-Up Automation set to “Suggest”, Krina may suggest follow-up dates directly in the panel based on detected deadlines. You can accept or dismiss each suggestion.

With “Auto-create”, suggested follow-ups are automatically added to your Follow-ups tab without appearing in the panel first.

See Follow-ups for details on these automation modes.
